I'm running a Glock 20c with a 6", non-ported, Wolf barrel and a 22lb recoil spring. I've run one box of these 135 grainers (a "test" order) and I will be ordering more. Oh what fun! I ran a string of 10 rounds over my chronograph (sit down for this one) I came up with 1709 fps! Right in line with published figures and a little ahead of the curve actually. No sign of undue pressures and perfect functionality in the tighter Wolf chamber with only the slightest hint of a "glock smile" beginning to form. I haven't run any of this stuff through the stock bbl so I can't vouch for brass condition in that case.
As for bullet performance on target: This round is too light for deer IMO and there are no coyotes or pigs where I live so this round has limited application for my purposes, hence, I've no recovered slugs or wound channels to report. So far all I've shot is paper, some water bottles and one very unfortunate tree. The water bottles do what you would imagine they would do and the paper accuracy is very good. Now that I think about it though, a certain garbage can raiding fox may well get the better end of one of these rounds in the near future here but I suspect the results of that will be a lot like the water bottles.
From what I can see this stuff would make great defensive carry ammunition for, say, built up areas. I'm sure they would be a better performing compromise of mass, penetration and frangibility than other, purpose made, frangible ammo out there. Even if the thing did shed a lot of weight by 50% of it's total penetration I have no doubt that the wound channel(s) would be like... DAMN! and total penetration would not be overly compromised by fragmentation of the round. Barricades of any real heft would likely turn bite into bark for this load but in an 'effect of rounds on target' context this is "shop-vac, case of paper towel and a mop" level stuff.
